windshield washer adjustment?

my windshield washer nozzles spray too low. i find myself using way to much fluid to try and clean the window at speed. i used to be able to adjust previous honda's washer nozzle's with a pin, rotating the ball in seat to get the proper spray pattern.

i could not find anything about adjustment in the manual. I just checked out the car. it was a little tough to tell, but i thought the washer possibly could be rotated with a screwdriver. not sure if it was my mid teens weather, but it did not move. i didn't want to break it, so did not force the issue.

anyone know if the windshield washer nozzles are adjustable?

I'm wondering the same thing, because it looked to me as though the driver side was spraying pretty low. Passenger side didn't matter to me at the time (since I was driving), but it looked OK.

I have the same exact issue. Ill look at the nozzle later today. It has to be adjustable im thinking. If its non adjustable thats stupid.

Very happy to see this topic. I only use the spray when stopped.. If not, I'm lucky to clear the wiper blades.

Same problem for me, especially on the driver's side. Also, when I pull forward on the handle to mist the front windshield, some wiper fluid leaks out the nozzle on the rear window. This is annoying! Anyone else?

i was looking at it again yesterday, and i do not think it is adjustable. it is 4 degrees right now, so i am not going to try and take it apart yet. i was hoping someone in a warmer climate could try...

the plastic cowl the sprayer nozzle is housed in, moves fairly easily. i was thinking of shimming the cowl up, thus moving the sprayers. if the nozzles are in fact non adjustable, then that will be our only option.

Yeah I'm in the same boat too Rodney, its around 8 degrees outside now. I quickly looked at the nozzles and they do seem like they are fixed. I was hoping for some sort of ball and socket design that allows adjustment. Once I have a chance to really analyze it I'll report back. If the cowl can be shimmed then at least its something.

yes they are. with a straight pin, which is also how you clean them.

Confirmed you can adjust with a small pin. Here is a picture

Mine seems to change depending on the weather. Originally it always seemed low. But I think with winter maybe ice and snow have worked its way into the sprayers because at least for a while I was getting full spray coverage.

Thanks so much for checking this out. I was a bit loathe to trying this approach, concerned that I might break something. Good deal.

Mine too. I sounds like that Honda set it low on the drivers side. I will adjust mine also.

Whatever you stick in the nozzle, dont just twist it like it's a shifter. Finess is all i can say. Mine popped like they ratchet in there. One click up on both sides went from the bottom of the window to the top.

Goid luck.
