Windshield Blems Imperfections Scratches Problem
I thought this topic was going to take off for a few other users but I'm not sure that it ever did.. I think it got swallowed up the size of the 'quality issues' thread. I've searched and can't seem to find any other talk about windshield issues aside from the quality thread.
Anyone else heard of Honda accepting the fact their are some bad windshields out there?
Explaining this to the dealer is very difficult. A lot of things have to happen just right in order to showcase the problem. Fortunate for me I was pulling out of the carwash and didn't have anyone behind me at the stop sign. The sun hit the windshield at the perfect angle and lit up my problem.
The lines you see can almost block your vision during the correct scenarios eg: street lamps and headlights at the same time, then if you ever combine that with windshield wiper streaks and you're suddenly driving blind.
I've started discussions with my dealer and as of last night I emailed these pics to the service manager.
I'm providing pictures here so everyone can see what some of us are talking about when we talk about windshield issues.
My 17 year old Jeep Cherokee just got a new windshield and it blows away the clarity of this Honda factory flawed windshield.
The image in the background is only blurry because I had to take a macro shot of the glass. It's not actually hazy, it's just blocked by the macro focusing on all the imperfections in the glass.

Hi Cycling Fit,
We have definitely discussed the defective glass issue previously - I posted about it back in August, I believe - got my windshield replaced by the dealer without problem. You can search back through my posts (I don't post all that much) to see some of the other folks complaints/issues related to windshields. Good luck, hope you're able to get yours taken care of soon!

make sure you check all you windows.. I had that on all my windows and they replaced them with more defective windows.. and shotty jobs on the quarter windows.. now I'm still waiting for them to fix my windows after 4 months.. But I'm going to get it fixed no matter how much of a pain I am to them. Brand new car should not be like this.
