Loss of Power/Fuel Cutoff
Loss of Power/Fuel Cutoff
Now I've read about the slow speed engine hesitation/stutter, but this is something slightly different.
As I was driving on Interstate 5 going about 65mph in 6th gear, I attempted to accelerate to pass another vehicle and while doing so it felt as if the fuel was cut off for a good 3 seconds. The same feeling when my fuel pump on my E46 330i was going out. It was as if I had let off the gas pedal.
At 65mph in 6th gear the RPM's are sitting at around 3300, and there is usually plenty of power to pass without having to down shift.
Before I try to take it to the dealer and waste hours only for them to tell me they could not replicate the problem, has anyone else experienced this sudden loss of power while accelerating at highway speeds?

Today 12:10 AM DrewE Was the road slippery? The VSA system will cut the throttle if a wheel starts to spin (and flash the "skidding car" idiot light)
Get something to check to see if there are any pending DTCs...

As for the Shell 87... personally, I hate Shell now, on top of me only pumping 91/93 (ie, premium) even before I put the supercharger in my GE.
It was a while ago, I was driving the Nissan Pathfinder and decided to pump (reg 87 for that thing) at a Shell near where I was having dinner... for the next few days, it ran rougher. I normally pump at BP since there's one conveniently next to where I work.
Back to the Fit... I used to love Costco when I lived in San Diego (long before getting the Fit)... but the few times I got Costco gas with my Fit, even with premium, it didn't seem quite happy with it. MPGs dropped a little, probably due to feeling like I have to mash the pedal harder to get the same "go" as I did with BP premium (which is what I've stuck to for a long time).
Mobil is okay for me... but there aren't as many stations around... and not convenient for me to get to.
