Hydraulic Hood Supports
Hydraulic Hood Supports
I still waiting for someone to offer hydraulic hood supports for the new Fit. They are available for the 2014, but not the 2015. All they would have to do is make a slight change to the mounting brackets on the 2014.
I put hydraulic supports my previous car, and I liked them. Very convenient. I thought of trying DIY, but I think I'll wait.

Probably wise to wait until someone makes brackets that are designed for the 15. Usually, DIY stuff like that, looks like DIY. I do agree that they are much better than the prop rod. My Mustang had a prop rod, and during a car show, the wind would sometimes lift the hoods of the Mustangs and dislodge them from the rods. You can imagine the results! We used to tie the rod to the hood. A pain in the A@#.
