Uncle Gary does the dirty deed!

Yup, after months of looking and trying to decide on a color, Uncle Gary finally did it! I traded Penny, the '09 orange revolution Fit Sport MT in on a '15 Fit EX manual in white orchid pearl. My local dealer gave me an excellent trade-in deal on my old Fit, so I'm pretty excited. Now I wait while they do some horse trading to get a car from another dealer.

Truth to tell, none of the colors really did anything for me, so in the end I opted for no color (white).

The '09 has been the most useful and most dependable car I've ever owned, so the bar is set pretty high for the '15, I can only hope I have as good luck with the new car.

Uncle G. Congrats on the decision. My '08 GD was likewise dependable and never saw a dealership for service or mechanical work during its 7 yrs in my garage.
After 5 months of driving my WOP GK LX, the first thing noticeable is the increased gas mileage. My current 6 speed bested the highest MPG the GD (auto) could ever do (with my driving style in my local conditions). My manual tally recorded a life average of 24mpg for my GD. So far am getting 33mpg. BTW, if you haven't yet, ya gotta join Fuelly. Its so easy - thank you to all FF owners who are fuelly members - its where I got the idea!!!!
As mentioned in other threads, I did miss the lack of road feel from the steering but it took a week and I never think about it anymore. You will find that the rear end is more planted than the previous Gens. My GK doesn't bounce around on rough roads as much as my GD did.
Most of my drives are city with a/c on a minimum of 50% of the time. Parking is a breeze and the updated interior/electronics remains functional and pleasing to the eyes.

Don't forget to post pics when you take delivery.

And thanks to your posting I just joined Fuelly. With 5 fuel-ups I'm averaging 37.1 MPG mixed driving.
And to Uncle Gary, I hope you enjoy your dirty deed.

Mileage addendum

My current 33mpg can be beat by most GK owners. Not only cause the a/c is used 10-11 months of the year but in addition, my LX has got additional 200 lbs. of soundening/stereo upgrades.
Am paying the price for having a quite car (almost non-existant wind-noise and tire roar) and doors that close with an MB-like "thud".

Hey 2015FIT, now you'll have to add the Fuelly badge to your signature.

I guess you're right. Or maybe it's just a matter of perspective. Dang, you're making my head hurt!

I just edited my signature to add my Fuelly badge - Thank you for the suggestion! Will it update automatically when I have more fuel-ups?

I too opted for white but am in love with it! When the sun hits it just right and it's clean? Ain't nothing better!

Yes, it does update fillups automatically. FYI, Fuelly also has an App for your phone so you can enter fillup info right at the pump and it also updates you're Fuelly info automatically.

Well, yesterday I picked up the new Fit. The dealer got one from another dealer for me in only two days. Turns out I could have had a yellow one, as they had 4 of them there, but after seeing the car in person, I'm glad I went with the white. It just glows in the sun. It also matches my 21 year old Harley-Davidson.

Trading in the '09 was bittersweet. I've never really been a car person-more a bike person, and the '09 Fit was the first car I've ever really loved. Dropping it off at the dealer was a bit like saying goodbye to an old friend. By the time I drove the new car home, I knew I'd made the right decision. I LOVE the new Fit.

My initial impression, is that the build quality is great. This one was built in September of '14, but I can't find too much to fault at this point. Yes, the motor is a bit noisy, but in a good way. I guess, being a motorcyclist, I expect the be able to hear the motor doing its thing. Initial driving impressions are very favorable. The car is a bit more civilized than the '09, but IMO still has the character of the old Fit. I'll probably post more after I've spent more time with the car.

LOVE those wheels! What are they?

If you live in the city, I'd have to say that's not exactly the "same state". I live in a village of 800 people in the foothills of the Catskills. It's so small that I thought I might have the first '15 Fit in town. Not so. Last night I saw a blue one just outside the village.
