ever seen one in the wild?
Like John said, I see quite a few in LA. At least one every couple of days. I've even taken the opportunity to talk to a couple of drivers in parking lots to see how they like their cars.

I plan to be in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific coast of Mexico later this month and am curious if I will see any. If I do, I'll try to take pictures.
There is a dealership there so I'm hoping to see some new Fits in all their wild tropical glory:
Honda Puerto Vallarta
In the past I have always enjoyed spotting vintage VWs there.

I've had my Fit for about 3 months and I'm definitely seeing an increase in them (Cincinnati, OH area). I have yet to see a yellow one, except at the dealership.
The other day at Krogers I purposely parked right next to one identical to mine. I should've taken a photo.
So far I've seen mostly steel, red and blue. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen any white ones.

So, what do they usually tell you?
That is one thing I have noticed, the Fit is definitely not an age-specific car. It seems to appeal to a lot of different people. One must give a nod to its versatility.
Counted 7 in the mile between work and the freeway when I got off the other day, including one modern steel LX just like mine! This is in SF, right by a university-- I guess the car is very popular with students. Beyond strangers, my coworker bought her EX-L two months before I got my LX. A favorite customer of mine drives an orange fit sport, two people on my street have new GKs and one a GE, and my insurance agent has a 2010 sport. All of them rave about it. Basically, I see Fits everywhere!

Saw another red one Friday night in traffic. But the big surprise was the white EX CVT parked next to my mother-in-law's house just now. So I guess I'm just going to officially declare them a thing.
In the two weeks I've had mine, I've only seen one GK on the interstate (Blue LX, opposite direction) and ones at dealers. Haven't seen anything other than Silver and Blue either
Around Portland Maine anyways. I get plenty of looks on the road already so maybe I'll start the trend up here

Soon that dealer will be having full lots of Mexican made fits (630 or more).
I already see full lots of GK fits at los angeles dealers. They will soon reduce prices and will try to get rid of them like like of overproduced focuses.
Saw another black EX yesterday. Today there was a silver EX slowing for (and then stopping at) a light as I was crossing at the intersection. Not sure if it was waxed up or what but that silver color was somewhat stunning, way better than any I've seen at the dealer.
Still not that many, and many of those I see are locals most of the time.
What I do see are tons of Hyundai Accents, also quite a few Nissan Versa Notes. Perhaps the dollar proposition hits the target market better. Our Fit is worth it, but it does cost more. I think it's also a bit odd to a typically conservative group of buyers.
Anyway, they don't know what they're missing!

As promised, I made my trip to Puerto Vallarta, on the Pacific coast of Mexico, and have a report to make. I saw six 1st and 2nd generation Fits and they were all white with the exception of one red one. White works well in the tropics.
I saw three 2015 3rd generation Fits including this one in the parking lot of the Melia hotel where my wife and I stayed. Using the screen on the back of my camera I showed the shot to someone on the front desk and asked if it belonged to an employee. The clerk replied that it was a guest's car.

I took a shot of the plate and Googled the dealer info. It indicated that it came from central Mexico, perhaps eight hours inland or so from Puerto Vallarta.

Here's another shot of the LX, which incidentally was a manual trans. It had a saucy decal on the back if you look carefully.
Take note of the parking lot paving, which is common on main roads in PV. The historic downtown area also has plenty of cobblestone paving which will loosen the fillings in your teeth. One taxi driver told me he has to get new shocks every two months.
I also got to see the local Honda dealership which is on the main highway just south of the airport. My taxi driver pointed out that the inventory is somewhat low there, but I have no idea why.
Also got to see many classic VWs there, including some Things and vans.
