Talking Hello!

My husband and I picked up our brand new Fit EX-L last night, and we are already thrilled! We drove 160 miles home from the dealer, and the ride was so much better than our old car. We look forward to learning all the tech this car offers (our old car was a 2002 and had no tech).

Thanks to this forum for all the great information we checked out before purchasing. Now off to order the accessories we learned about on the forum.

160 miles from the dealer? Hopefully that's not the closest dealer, otherwise taking it in for service could be a whole day affair. BTW, welcome.

Thankfully we have a dealer two miles away that we can go to for service.
The dealer we purchased from just gave us an awesome deal since it was the end of the quarter that no one else could/would beat.

I did the same thing as you, except not to that degree. Got the best deal from a dealer 15 miles away, but there is also a dealer closer to home to take it to when needed.

Welcome from another Fit newbie although not new to Honda, between my wife and I we've had 30 Honda autos including a few Acuras. Glad you're enjoying yours, mine's on order and I'm hoping to have it soon.

30 Hondas? You must not keep your cars very long, even if you're over 100 yrs old.

Really? Do the math! We started buying Honda products in 73, that's over 40 years ago. I replaced my business vehicle every year or two, I always had sportier cars like an Accord coupe or S2000 as well and my wife had several Civics and smaller Acuras. My wife is looking now to replace her RSX, that will be 31. I'm not counting the Hondas (used) I bought my kids when they started driving. It doesn't really matter though and I'm not sure why I mentioned it, I understand nobody cares.

I care...I have my first Honda, and stories like yours...8, 10, 30 Hondas...are extremely encouraging. Mine is my first car in 35 years after living in NYC. I made a good choice!

I think it speaks a lot for the brand. I can't get a Fit quite yet (my lease isn't up til Nov) but it's encouraging to hear from Honda enthusiasts. I've never owned a Honda but would love to find a make & be happy enough to stick to it. Thank you for sharing!

Now if we could just get you to keep it clean!

Feel good about the Honda family. I am looking at the Fit to replace my still beautiful 2004 Civic that has 205,000 miles on it. The Fit will only be my 3rd Honda car, since I keep mine for quite a long time. Although, I am on my 6th Honda motorcycle so I am racking up credits there.

You were busy washing and waxing your car. It still looks great! You even took the time to rinse off the sand from the tires!
