Intake cam confusion on 2015 GDI engine

I have been studying the intake cam on this 2015 GDI engine and have a question: Unless I am not seeing it correctly, the valve overlap increase with the advancement of the cam. this is exactly backwards from what I have learned from reading about valve overlap? Can anyone shine some light on this?

Actually, the cam is supposed to be fully retarded at the idle position and it is.

The cam is regarded at idle, then advance for max torque power mid range and then again, retard for max HP at high RPM

I am trying to locate the degrees used by the ECU to set this. I realize several factors are involved but I would like to know this info at max load up through the rpm. For instance, max load at 3000, 3500,4000, etc

I would imagine that you would need Hondata or the like, a laptop and then you could look at all the mapping. I don't think you'll get it outside of that.

It looks like Hondata has flashpro for the 07-08 fit but that's it. No other Hondata tuning is available. Not sure how you would get this data otherwise, especially for a new motor.
