Thule Fit Kit

Nope, all good. Just torque down the towers properly - probably better to use a torque wrench instead of their little built in system - and you should be good.

Good to hear. Thanks!

I put together this Thule/Exodus/Rocky Mounts roof rack in pieces.
I started with the Thule AeroBlade load bars, 47" width. Got the pair used for $80.
Then I got a set of Exodus towers that are fully compatible with the Thule 480R towers recommended for my LX. Apparently, Exodus is a satellite brand sold mostly in Europe. Got the set of four Exodus towers new, locks included, for $80 including shipping on a closeout on ebay.
Now I needed to get the right fit kit. Got the 1751 Thule fit kit new for around $75 including shipping from a bike shop on the west coast.
Lastly, I needed a set of bike trays. AutoAnything was having a closeout on Rocky Mounts Jetline bike trays in odd colors - green, orange or yellow - for $59.97 each including shipping, so got three of 'em, in orange.
It all works well on my '16 LX, and the rack doesn't have much effect on gas mileage. I'll take the rack off come wintertime to make snow removal easier.

Just called Thule today for an update on the fit kit for our 3rd gen's. The part number is 1751, for the 480 foot pack. Was told it should be made available to dealers around the 15th of this month. Can't seem to find anything online for preorders other than at Rack Outfitters - Honda Fit Thule Rapid Traverse SILVER AeroBlade Roof Rack 2015- - Rack Outfitters - and right now it's only for the complete rack. No preorder available for just the fit kit, as I'm looking to use my current square bar set up. Anyone else have any leads from other dealers?
Sorry if this info is somewhere here already, or if this is the wrong forum for this post

@kayakrack - this is a zombie thread. Last answer was 6 years ago.
The 1751 kit you purchased can be verified. Each clip and rubber pad has its own number apart from the Fit Kit.
According to this diagram, the clip numbers are 1318 & 1319, while the pads are numbered 443-446:
https://www.roofracks.co.uk/pdfs_pro...4fbf2969a7.pdf
So if your Fit KIt numbers don't match the above, you can present this info to the ebay seller as proof you didn't get what you ordered.
