We recently bought a new 2019 Honda Fit EX. It is a super car. But....we use it for kayaking, and bought the Thule roof rack kit to install.
However, the Kit 5152 does not work with the other components, even though it is the correct number for the Fit.
When we looked at the picture of the 5152 kit online, it is different than what came out of our box. We ought it at REI, but it is a long drive to return.

Anyone else experience this problem?

 

My understanding is that besides the fit kit, you would need the other accessories - foot clamp or some sort of attachment to the 5152 clips. The bars you use would then attach to the clamps.

 

i would check with rei or thule and verify you have all accessories present

and from there, perhaps get some insight from them on the next steps

We did solve the problem. REI realized they sold us the wrong package, and we exchanged it for the correct one. We then got help from an REI Thule expert, and installed the whole thing in 20 min. That was a bit of a miracle. Picture at a later date.
