Thank you Gentlemen. (or Lady's)

I have a Galaxy note 4, and am not terribly interested in navigating Pandora or other random apps via the info screen, but I am terribly interested in being able to run Waze or other navigation tools. I do not mind entering information into my phone, so long as the map is displayed on the dash.

Currently I have a dash mount in my truck to hold my phone while on trips, and it has become a habit of just snapping it into position when I get in. However if I can just drop it in a cup holder or mount it below eye level I would be happier.

I will check out the other threads and that video.

Thank you for the info!

While we have two reliable vehicles as a family, switching to the Fit from my daily driver will save us around $100 a month in gas, and lower our monthly payment by around $30. (trading my wife's beloved CRV in the process )

My questions to you.
  • Would you wait until October to try and buy a model manufactured in Japan?
  • Do you think prices will drop enough on 2015's when the 2016's hit the dealership that it would pay to wait (approximate cost to wait to October around $500)
  • Would you wait and hope for 4th of July deals, or other promotions before pulling the trigger?
I think we have a good offer of $17,300 before tax/title, but we do not buy cars often so I would love some advice from anyone with experience.

(cannot guarantee I will take your advice, but I will listen, learn, and say thank you for any input you may have)

Thank you for your time and I look forward to being a freak on the road with the rest of you.
first, the likelyhood of getting a japanese produced fit is limited to the hybrid version; all others will come from Mexico. second your purchase price is not bargain nor a sledge either. pretty straightforward. however, what happens after could be a problem
if adds a sales fee, like $500 to even $1000, its not so good, criminally fraud.
if he tries to sells you a extended maintenabce agreement back out quickly; its a scam, even majestic honda who best sells ext maint agrees that more than $500 for 100k/5 years is a scam.
good luck.

You may as well go get a Spark now. I bet you $100 neither of those will be ready for 2016.

I think if you just need the Bluetooth audio and mount your phone you will be happy. However Honda Voice controls are so bad I can't use them.

Actually Chevy said they would support Android Auto in all their 2016 models.

Even if they aren't ready when they launch, they can do an update.

Honda said they will not update the 2015 Fits.

Trust me, you will want to wait for Android Auto. Each app will be designed for the car only plus your infotainment will constantly be updated.

There is an app in beta that will allow you to simulate the whole Android Auto experience on your phone:

Still I would rather see it on a 7" screen and have full Google support.

I am no lady or gentleman. Just a dude trying to help out

Thank you for all of the advice given on this thread.

My wife and I decided to strike while the iron was hot since we wanted a specific color with a manual transmission and we found a dealer near us undercutting the competition by almost $2,500 when you factor in the extra on our trade, and their Fit being cheaper than our next best offer.

Sadly that means no Honda link with my Note4, however I am very happy with the vehicle anyway. My wife is talking about switching from her Galaxy4 to one of those shitty apple devices already, but I remain unconvinced.

I know the trip computer cannot be trusted but it clocked 43 mpg on my way to work this morning! I am hopping when I fill up the tank and crunch the numbers I am still above 40.

As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will snap one of our vehicle. Well once we finish with the window tinting and applying the various decals to make this Fit feel like our own.

Thank you again!

We share your joy. I have the MT too and just love it. I think it gets smoother as time goes by or I just got better with the Fit's MT. If a lot of your commute to work is hwy, I think it will do above 40 mpg easy.

Anyway, congrats and enjoy!
