How often does your TPMS go off?
Not once in 4,100 miles over four months.
Did Honda do nitrogen fills from the factory? My Fit has these metal valvestem caps with a green "N2" on them, assuming that indicates nitrogen-filled tires. The dealer never mentioned that as a "perk," and I didn't even notice until I washed the car for the first time.

Do the TPMS recalibration
My wife and i purchased a new fit about a month and a half ago. Since then, the TPMS has gone off about 4 times. Is this normal? We have checked the pressure every time it has gone off, and all the tires have been at 32 PSI each time. Should i be taking this to the dealer to get looked at?
I had the tires rotated recently and had the exact problem you described (TPMS light on and tires having correct inflation).
Recalibrating the TPMS corrected the problem and no more false TPMS warnings.
Tpms light
Never had my TPMS light come on until last week just driving down the road. Went home and checked one tire low at 27 PSI and the other three still at 35 PSI. Looked closely and found a nail in the side of the tread. Guess the TPMS really works after all. You know they could not repair it so I had to get a new tire.

About once every 4 to 6 weeks. It's always the same tire, even after rotation. It's not a big deal because I should be checking the tires every month. I'll have them look at it when I go in for my next service in June.
I haven't had mine come on since the day I went to pick up the car when I bought it. I even replaced the 4 wheels and tires with 4 mounted snow tires last month, and even THAT didn't trip the TPMS system.
Maybe mine's not working any more?

My TPMS light has only come on when I rotated tires at 7k, and is on now because I have 14" winter steelies w/out the tpms parts (Had good studded tires from a 99 Camry, so saved $$$)
I tried to keep my tires (16" Alloys) at 36 or so. Mine has 15k miles since ~April.

I purchased my car in October 2014. Never had the TPMS light come on 'till about a year later, at about 28,000 miles.
When I first saw the indicator I had no idea what that sign was, so I pulled off the interstate as soon as I could (highway rest stop). Then I had to drive another 15-20 miles to the nearest gas station, heading back out on that 75mph road... Anyhow, I checked the pressure and one tire was dangerously low. So it was definitely helpful!
I added air to all tires, re-calibrated it, and it came on again weeks later... and again, same tire below the others... Anyhow, it hasn't come on since but I also have been checking the tire pressure & adding air more often, so that's likely why I've not got the indicator since. The tires are the stock ones, with about 33,000 miles on them and need to be replaced. Getting new ones (winter tires) tomorrow..!

Mine has never gone off from low tire pressure. Even when I found my tires as 24-26 psi all around one morning. I would buy a decent tire gauge (with an actual gauge, not one of those "stick" / "pen" style ones) instead of relying on it. You'll be way into dangerous territory before it goes off.
But here's the thing... when I refilled the tires to their factory recommended pressure, the warning went on!
I'm guessing we don't have a "true" TPMS, either the stupid kind that's based on the ABS system, or some other gizmo that reads and calculates various parameters and lets us know when the wheel isn't spinning the same as it used to.
Also, in terms of Splat's nitrogen question... as far as I know, only "luxury" brands try to push the nitrogen on you. Is your dealership shared with an Acura or other luxury brand?

When new and in the rain with proper psi mine went off about half a dozen times. Been almost a year since it last went off. Just went off last week, dry condition. Next morning checked and all were about the same PSI at about 26psi. It was a cold morning so psi was a couple psi lower. Since then pumped it up to door jam label of 33psi. Hasn't gone off yet in the rain with proper psi.
Not once since I put my summer tires on last Spring. I've only need to add air once all summer (they were only down a couple PSI, so no TPMS light). I expect to see it light up when I put my snow tires back on.

With my other cars that have TPMS I fill the tires to 32 and reset the TPMS, then I add air to bring them up to 34 to give me a little more headroom before the sensor goes off.
Most TPMS systems simple remember the pressures that are being transmitted when the reset is pushed so theoretically you could reset them with no air in the tires and they would not actuate until the tire was flat (I suspect most systems have a minimum pressure setting but its just a theory...
