Broken door trim piece

I noticed this right rear passenger door garnish piece was loose a couple days after I bought my used 2015 Fit EX. While getting my windows tinted yesterday the installer managed to loosen the piece off. It looks like the piece had been broken and their was an attempt to fix with some sort of blob of something on the metal piece. Does my 36/36 warranty cover this if I take it in since someone tried to fix it?

Thanks.

Most likely not at this point. They'd probably say the tint installer broke it.

Yes mine also fell off. I glued it back, but it is falling off again.
Anybody know the part number for this piece.

Who knew so many trim pieces could fall off a car. This is like the 8th one.

It looks like the same was done to mine. I was going to take the driver-side trim piece off to compare but knowing me I would somehow mess up my newly tinted window. So I am going to wait for awhile. At first glance, it looks like the piece slides up and out. It might be another opportunity to use these -

Unfortunately, many of these trim pieces are designed to go on and not come off without serious risk of destroying them. Even if you have the full arsenal of trim removal tools. Which is great. Until a need arises to remove them.

Thanks.
I seem to recall that trim piece being a manufacturing issue, holding up production while we were waiting for a new Fit.
