Engine Shroud Part #?
Engine Shroud Part #?
2015 Fit EX
To make a short story long:
A few weeks ago I was ran off the highway by an idiot driver doing a U-Turn that didn't see me. I yanked the steering wheel and drove in the median with waist high grass about fifteen feet before coming to a stop. Yeah, scared the shit out of me. Looked underneath - no damage and no problems.
FF to last weekend - I'm driving down the highway and hear scraping. Pull over, and the engine shroud is dragging (the middle piece that you remove for oil changes) and is held on only by the two rear screws. I yank it the rest of the way off since I didn't have any access to tools - ripping it in the process.
Question: I've searched high and low for this part online for purchase - does a part # exist for this? I found the entire section of this for 230.00 on bernardi.com but I only need the middle section. I've read some posts on here about using a CRZ shroud with modification/drilling, but will this fit the 3rd gen models?
Dealership said it probably won't be covered by warranty since I "might" have hit something in the road. I'm assuming my near collision, grass riding adventure loosened it up.
Thanks in advance
