Warranty work on rubber insert on roof
Warranty work on rubber insert on roof
Hi!
I'm just posting this as general info in case anyone else might be having a similar problem. the other day, I noticed that one of the black rubber inserts that runs along the roofline (anyone remember when cars used to have rain gutters?) was coming loose near the back end of the car. Honda is going to replace it and I'm just waiting for the part to come in. So, might be a good idea to check the ones on your car(s). Otherwise, happy driving everyone!

I had the same issue, but I was able to repair myself. There is a clip that attaches to a small post within the channel the molding sits in. Seems the clip itself was mounted too far in on the rubber molding that it did not reach the post on the frame body. Removed the clip carefully from the molding, reattached it closer to the edge so it can reach.
Got the molding secured to the post via the clips, cracked open a beer for my efforts soon after!

Well, I think I'll let the dealer take care of it for me since it's still under warranty, but I see no reason why I shouldn't reward myself with a beer once that's done! The challenge, here in San Diego, will be which one to drink......
