2016 Honda Civic 7" Touch Display supports Android Auto
MY2016 Civic and Accord now support Android Auto. Both use the same 7" touch screen display as the 2015-16 Fit. Can we hope for a display upgrade for the Fit?

Android Auto™ was designed to give drivers a simple, intuitive way through touch and voice to minimize the potential for distraction so the driver can stay focused on the road. Compatible with Android 5.0 and higher, Android Auto features Google Maps, Google Now, messaging, music and numerous popular apps.

Is android auto running kit kat still?
Android Auto isn't running anything. It's basically a specialized launcher built into your phone which can send video to (and receive touch input from) an external device. This launcher includes a cut-down version of Google Maps, a Google Now card/notifications screen, and an API which music apps can hook into. When you upgrade your phone's OS, you necessarily update your Android Auto, since it's a part of your phone.

If one had bought a 2015 Honda Civic with the 7" WVGA touch screen display, this month, I wonder if Honda will upgrade their HU software. The displays would be identical for the 2015 and 2016. Would this mean that the 2015 buyers are skewered?
This might get very interesting.
BTW the last time I test drove the Fit I tried changing the volume from the 7" screen and I could not. The touch screen is relatively insensitive.

I don't care about android auto or car play, I'm just excited and anxious to see what the civic hatchback looks like. I like the sedan but my heart belongs to hatchbacks. Hoping for good sales of the hatch too so that in a few years, I can maybe upgrade!

I doubt it will have the magic seats. I think with magic seats it would take away a big selling point from a new brand (the hrv) and the distinction between the fit and the civic would be muddled. The Mazda 3 is in the same class as the civic and it is something like 175" in hatchback form so imo the civic will almost certainly be around that size, bigger than the hrv, but without quite the same cargo capacity?
