I saw a online Honda parts dealer that offers tape impregnated with capsicum to wrap around wiring to keep mice from chewing the wires. I am considering buying some pepper spray and spraying the wiring with it.

Huh? I see my cats (they're barn cats, don't come inside) with a mouse at least once a week. And I don't have any problems with mice getting into the chicken feed.

Clever idea, but there's a lot of wire - most of it inaccessible to humans.

Same here (also live on a farm), but the mice still manage to get in the house, shop, etc. Thankfully have not had a problem with them in a vehicle in quite a few years.

We have more of a problem with possums and 'coons getting into the cat food storage.

Occasionally a mouse will get in the house (especially at this time of the year when things are turning cold) but there's a couple terriers for the inside And my Aussie, but she has no idea what to do with a mouse, they don't herd at all!
