This is Bell #00030 trash can I bought a department store. A modified coat hanger was needed to securely hang the can. It is narrow and leaves lots of room for the passenger's feet.

I use a ashtray cup holder thingie as trash can for my candy wrappers in the winter time. I think it was by Razo, has an aluminum housing with glass reinforced black plastic lid.

 

I re-purpose the plastic grocery bags and dispose when contaminated... at least until they are fully outlawed here in CA... but I've saved hundreds of them.

That's what I have. I loop it around the center console cover and it hangs in front of the rear seats. As long as is not completely full, you can still drop the rear seats without removing the trash bag.

 

I throw garbage on the floor and take it with me the next time I leave the car. No sense carrying garbage around in the car!

 

Just have mine hooked around the shifter. coffee cups and food containers come out of the car at the end of the day its just nice for stuff I dont want blowing around in the car and that wont get smelly.

 

I use an empty Kleenex box which fits nicely in the console. When it's full I toss it out and replace it with a new one.
