Interior length

Maybe someone can help me out here. I am thinking about getting a new fit but I need to know the length of the cargo area with the front passenger seat all the way forward, backseat folded flat, to the back inside edge. If anyone can measure it for me or happens to know off the top of their head it would be greatly appreciated. I would go to a dealer and measure it myself but I always seem to run into a bunch of hassle when I try do to do stuff like this.

If you fully recline the front seat back (after taking out the headrest), you can get a longer distance to the dashboard. On the older GE8 Fit, it's just about exactly eight feet from the corner of the dashboard to the opposite corner of the hatch, and nearly but not quite ten feet if you go over the dashboard to the windshield (which doesn't seem very safe). I've carried 8' planks or lengths of pipe on several occasions.

I don't know what this measurement is on the new Fits, but it shouldn't be too much different.

That sounds about right. I can lay down and have room between my head and the hatch door with the front seat all the way forward. I'm 69 inches tall.
