2015 Fit EX - Rear Trunk Open Warning Light
2015 Fit EX - Rear Trunk Open Warning Light
Where is the sensor that tells the car that the rear hatch is open? Im getting the warning light lit up but the trunk is actually closed. I need to check what's happening but can't seem to find the sensor.
There is no tailgate specific sensor indicator. One indicator for all 4 doors AND the tailgate. Like the TPS indicator, one does the job for all 4 tires. Pages 34 and 75 of the Owners Manual.
Ive read the manual and those are obvious common sense stuff you're referring to. I need more details on the inner workings of the hatch sensor. And you are incorrect that there is one sensor for all 4 doors and hatch. You obviously can "break" each of those sensors separately and they operate separately. If you mean if any of them opens, the sensor will light up - yea - that much everyone knows. But that's not the info Im looking for. I need to know exactly how/where the hatch sensor is. It is the hatch sensor that is causing this problem. On the 4 doors, you can easily see the sensor on the frame. I dont see that sensor on the hatch or the frame.

Did you guys know there is a sensor for the hood too? My wife accidentally popped the hood and didn't realize she had done it. I then drove the car and when I tried to lock it, it wouldn't give me the beep on the second push of the lock button. I checked all of the doors and hatch to see if one was open, but they were all closed. Then I noticed that the hood was slightly ajar; once I shut it fully I could lock as usual.
