Key Fob - Two Comments

After twenty-six months, I got a beep and a notice on the dash telling me my key battery was low. I always have CR2032 batteries on hand, so I put in a new one.

My son had to use the actual key to get into his car the other day. Then it wouldn't start. He realized that the fob was in his pocket with a lot of change. He got rid of all the change, and it works normally again.

I have been told by my dealer that even when the battery runs down, for the EX you put the fob touching the starter button and it should start. Even with a low battery there should be residual power in the fob to start the car.

TorontoBoy, we were told the same if need be to start.

I also discovered that the fob was confused by a set of keys that had bar code cards on it. Moved the keys, all was well.
