Mystery Part found in my '16 EX

Mystery Part found in my '16 EX

What is it? Looks like a piece of rubber tubing a little over 2" long and 1/4" diameter. Found sitting unattached to anything, in the vicinity of driver's side seat/door.

Just to clarify, that tube you found is 2" or 4.4cm long?

Hi TorontoBoy,

It is 2.18 inches or 5.5 cm long. Outside diameter is 8 mm. Thanks!

Found the same thing in my car. Don't know what it was for.

It could be heat shrink. If you heat it gently with a lighter does it contract? There's a log of electrical in that area.

When I get a chance I'll take a look at any wiring under the driver's seat and see if there's similar tubing there. Could be it was cut during assembly and they missed removing the excess piece.
