Cabin Air Filter

Hey guys,

was wondering what do you guys think of the OEM cabin air filter? i can't for the life of me, see any active charcoal in it, to me, it looks like dryer sheets glued together...

Anyways, OEM cost CAD 35.20, so i went with fram instead, only 41.59, i figure for an extra 6.39, might as well get one that looks nicer built.

I don't smell the activated charcoal in the OEM filter like I do with the HEPA based filters in other applications. Maybe just me.

My first cabin filter replacement was a Fram Fresh Breeze filter that cost $20. It had carbon in it. The next time around I replaced it with a TYC 800143P on Amazon for $8. After a short period of time, the Fram started giving out a funky smell for some reason. The TYC hasn't so far (12,000 miles). I'll be sticking with TYC from now on (price and performance).
