Shifting from D to S and vice versa

I understand it is okay to shift from D to S while in motion, but my question is, is it safe to shift D to S or vice versa while your foot is on the accelerator?

During the times I have shifted D to S or vice versa in motion, I always do it with my foot off the accelerator.

I drop from D to S all the time under power ,, like on some on ramps.. cant imagine that it would be any different than hitting the paddles in D mode..

Never even thought about it being an issue, its an electronic function not mechanical.

tranny has its own control module dat works with the ECU. theoretically should be a non-issue.

i use S mode without paddles in congestion. its actually very good as it has nice engine braking.

Yea no matter what you do from the seat, the ECU owns how it works, You can actually bang the GD off the rev limiter under power in sport mode with the paddles.. And if you money shift it (Drop to 1 from 5 for instance it would prang the motor,, but near as i can tell the ECU does not allow that.. )
