Honda Jazz Dynamic 1.5

Hello,

I am planning to purchase the Honda Jazz Dynamic trim model and I would like to know if it is possible to install the honda fit backup and lanewatch cameras to this trim model and connect them to the touchscreen.

The car dealer told me that this trim model does not have this option and it is impossible to install and connect the cameras directly to the touchscreen. Can't I just buy the oem parts and then install them?

Thanks!

which region are you from?

in the US the honda fit 2015+ all have back up camera standard, so depending on the head unit and the wiring, it MIGHT be as simple as buying the camera and plugging it in.

The lane assist is a much more complicated feature and may not be easy to install, i'm unsure of that one.

Isn't there 2 head units? (At least..) The US version is likely specific sure to PAL vs NTSC video..

There may be different electrical wire bundles for different trim levels.

The rear camera is $225+, the lanewatch camera is $350+ and the turn signal stalk with lanewatch button is $50+. All prices in Canadian dollars. That's just for the barebones hardware, and not considering any wiring bundles.

Be careful, as there are different types of head units for various Fit models. There has been no one on this forum that I know of who has integrated a Lanewatch camera into their non-Lanewatch head unit. AFAIK there has been no 3d party head unit maker that has integrated the Lanewatch camera, and may the backup camera. Different head units are configured for these specific options. If someone knows more please speak up.

Unless you are adventurous and are into electronics and possibly programming, I'd recommend that if you wish for the backup camera and/or Lanewatch camera, that you buy the upgraded model. For me the backup camera is worthwhile, but Lanewatch not so much.

It might actually be easier to purchase a separate camera and display screen, and run it completely separately from the Honda head unit. Of course this would not be at all integrated.

Unfortunately the dynamic trim model is the highest level the car dealer can provide.

Anyway, I think I will buy a separate one

Thanks guys!
