AVIC D3 with backup camera

Has anyone installed a backup camera with their AVIC-D3? If so, how difficult was it to route the lead to the head unit?

I probably will not do this myself, but am trying to gage how difficult the installation would be.

Any suggested installers in the Houston area?

Thanks

I peronally think that back up cams are only good when they come factory instalalled as an option for the car..I know a dude who had one put in and you cant see at night and the quality is pretty poor..But maybe they make better ones now??

But im thinking about getting a Nav unit fir my Fit and i know that install is going to be $$$$....

Yeah the backup cameras come in 2 different versions. I bet ur friend bought the older crappy CMOS camera's. The newer (and decreasing in price!) cameras use CCD technology and the picture is 1000x better. I installed one in my mom's pathfinder and it looks amazing! she even has infared LED's so it looks lit up!

As for the install, its the same with running an amplifier and subwoofer to the trunk. The only difference is that you have to run the wires through the tailgate which requires some elbow grease and time/patients 2 get the wires 2 go through the waterproof harness w/o affecting the tailgate operation.
