Just bought a K&N 33-5027 for about $35 on Amazon. Not really expecting any gains, and not a believer of the hype but I'm due for a new air filter. I noticed it was discounted so I figured I'd give it a shot.

In case anyone was on the fence, the cheaper price may help.

 

Pick the claims you want to believe is true!
Designed to boost horsepower and rate of acceleration (that goes to tell you hogwash. rate of acceleration? In physics they call that a jerk . They really mean change in velocity which is acceleration)
Can be cleaned and used again
High air flow with exceptional filtration (yea, right)
Lasts up to 50,000 miles before cleaning is required depending on driving conditions
Works with original equipment manufacturer vehicle electronics (they are saying that the excessive filtered air flow will not confuse the engine operational software)

 

I got it mainly for the re-usability aspect. I really don't think they'll be much gains from a 1.5L Fit engine.

I'll keep the old filter for the times when the K&N is being cleaned, dried and oiled.
