Love my Fit
Love my Fit
I just bought a 2015 Fit with 488 miles on it 11 days ago and since then have put on nearly 1000 miles. I am astounded at its economy and its ability to carry things. With two large coolers, one large tool box, one small tool box and three suitcases I got 36 mpg. The last stretch I drove very conservatively and the average mpg showing on the car was 40.9!!! I know that may not be totally accurate but the 36 was hand calculated!!! I am a Fit Freak!!
Its a eager little car!!!

I bought the car as a repaired salvage car. The title had just 322 miles on it and it was never titled so I am guessing it was a test drive gone bad. The title was marked "Export Only" but the seller said importation into Mexico (I bought the car is southern California) was too expensive so he sat on it for quite a while. I did have to pay a boat load of back tax. BTW 45 is hybrid territory....AWESOME

1000 miles in 11 days?
You are enjoying the vehicle. Good for you.
Check The Oil.
Check your Tire PSI.
Did it come with an owners guide...which is an shortened, abridged version of The Owners Manual.
Mine came with the "Owners Guide" which is basic essentials. And a downloadable CD that had the Owners Manual on it.
I always recommend a new owner, read the manual, check the oil, *Used Car, I would change oil and replace filter, and check tire PSI.
I believe your FIT has an indirect TPMS system, and a problem I have encountered is the TPMS illuminating on any extended long highway drive.
So I would also recommend checking your tires PSI and condition, as well as investing into a good Tire Gauge.
This is advice I would pretty much give to anyone with a "new" vehicle.
Otherwise, just keep enjoying

yah, could be. this is funny cause my wife's GK (which i paid cash) brand new got hailed on the next day of ownership ending up with more than 30 dents on the roof and 10 or so on the hood. luckily the hail was only golfball sized so did not crack the glass. and luckily i do PDR so i fixed it at home afterhours.. insurance paid me too.
Mine's a manual. I've had 50+ mpg on back road drives where you're 45-50 mph without many stops and starts.
40+ mpg if you stay around 65 mph on interstate.
75+ mph and it will start dropping pretty good.. about 85mph it drops quickly (over 4000 rpm)...
63000 miles to date. I've never reset trip B and it's at 39.7 mpg...
Enjoy your little car!! There's a few quirks, but easily over looked.

This has been my experience exactly (except I use trip B all the time). It's all in how many times you have to launch it.
I love our LX as well .....wouldn't love it so much with a CVT....HATE those things, as good as they may be. How do you know when a CVT is going bad when it feels like an automatic going bad when it's not
Most of our drives this past year are 15 miles or less at 45mph or less. 48 to 54 mpg.
Our 2015 w/CVT gets 40+ at 70mph or less. Over 70 and it is just throwing money away.
Next week we are heading out for a 3000 plus mile trip. I will report back.
