2017 Factory Service Manual

Recently bought a new 2017 EX-L Fit and one item I like to have on all of my cars is the Factory Service Manual. Not the Haynes, or Chilton. I'm talked the multi volume, 500 pages+ that the Hoonda Techs themselves use to go look up information when performing irregular maintenance.

I know... I know... I'm being impatient as I have the 3yr/36K mile warranty, and trust me if anything breaks (which I'm not planning on it) I am rushing that thing to the dealership to get it fixed. In the event that after the warranty something breaks, I like to have the diagrams/diagnostic information from the FSM to troubleshot, along with info from this forum and and youtube to knock it out the easiest way possible.

I tried looking at Helm Inc. and they only have the documentation included in the glove box.

I have found the 2008-2013 fit manual, which I sure will help me out with about 80% of all work that I need to do, but I still would like to have one for our years (GK5).

If you have any information on when they release these, please let me know.

Thanks!

I thought there was no longer an official hard copy version available - it's strictly electronic ($$$) now for this generation of Fit..

Since I understand that you will take advantage of the 3yr/36K Honda warranty. If that is the case, wait until the warranty expires before you go searching for a full repair manual. It may be available then and probably less expensive in time.

He is looking for a repair manual, not the owner's manual. You can still order for free the hard copy of the owner's manual if your Fit is within 6 months of purchase. Owner's Manual | 2017 Honda Fit | Honda Owners Site

This is all I've ever found: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/logon.aspx

I have yet to find a need to do any repairs that would require it, but when I do, I'll log in and try to archive for myself the sections I would find useful.

I was also going to archive from $10.00 a day Honda site also but when reading the terms of agreement I saw that they watch you when you log on and if you just go from section to section like you are collecting data they will cut you off and kick you off offsite. They look for you to go to a section for a particular problem.

You can try,

Let me know if you get by their security.

Yes, I know he's looking for a repair manual. That's what my reply was about.

I would want the FSM as well. Just a good thing to have and you may come across a need in the future.

It seems that they become available on eBay once it's a few years old. Maybe best to just keep searching once in a while.

Didn't even know that this existed. Good to know.

I guess I am jumping the gun here. I am an engineer by trade and it comes naturally (unfortunately at times) to want to learn how to perform routine maintenance and read about changing wearable parts out from the manufacturer. Thank you all for the information.

I found this while looking for a repair manual, but I haven't heard of this company before and I am unsure whether to buy the access. I wish I could find a hard copy of a Chilton/Haynes manual.

Service manuals are always really helpful... even just for learning where clips/screws are on the backs of panels. I'd like to pick-up a service manual (either physical or electronic) for my 2018 Fit.

I know nothing about that company. Address on the website goes to a college in Southern California, which matches the area code on phone number listed, but it's not an actual address/unit/room number for a person. Their website domain name registration doesn't help either, it was a private registration.

Haynes told me on 10-October-19 that the Fit/Jazz doesn't meet their volume numbers to print a GK repair manual.

My library gives me free online access to the Chiltons. That's good enough for what I need to do with it.

Good - do you mind sending out the link to the site so that we can subscribe ourselves? I cannot seem to be able to find the online Honda Fit 2015- online manual on any of Haynes' sites.

OK - Minuteman Libraries (Massachusetts) doesn't offer that link but I see other libraries that do. I'll have to talk to the librarian at our branch to see if they can add that.

It seems that this far no service manual for GK has been published. Neither factory nor Haynes or Chilton. GK being currenlty phasing out, it seems unlikely that we never get any service manual.

Genuine OEM Honda service manuals have all been discontinued from Honda. It's all online now. None for my 2018 sadly.
