Just purchased a new 2018 EX for about 18,500 OTD. Will be picking it up tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice on what to look for when picking up a new vehicle? First timer. Thanks!

I picked up a 2018 LX yesterday. I had a lot of waiting time to kill so i walked around the outside making sure the service jockeys hadn't scratched the paint. I looked at the fit and finish of the body panels as well to make sure everything was aligned with no obvious glass or mirror defects. Everything was perfect. Didn't bother looking any further since I'll go over the car in more detail now that I have it home.

At home the priorities are to check all tire pressures, fluid levels, align mirrors, check all lights inside and out to make sure no bad bulbs, check horn, wipers, and check more thoroughly inside and out for any defects. Etc.

While I agree, we 're lucky Honda's even still selling the Fit here at all as Americans are abandoning small cars in droves.

In the US Fit sales are about holding their own compared to last year, so essentially flat to slightly down.

In Canada sales are noticeably down - every month this year has been less than last year. This not unique to the fit, but is happening right across this category, all brands. Perhaps people are moving up into larger vehicles with the drop in the price of gas.

Well, what do you expect? This is America, after all, land of the Chrysler 440 cubic inch V8 engine. Where the creed is "go big or go home".

I wish they were buying muscle cars. They're buying pickup trucks and SUV's. Boring.

Also, I'm pretty sure Chrysler hasn't made a 440 since 1979, before the first bailout.

thanks for the tips! did all of the above, everything seems to be fine.

does anyone have suggestions on what to do for better floor mats? the stock ones may not survive a northeastern winter...

Husky or Weathertech are both good. They survived a Canadian winter and made the car much cleaner.
