5K Road Trip.

Apalachicola, FL.
Custer State Park, SD.
We just returned from a 5000 mile road trip to Wisconsin, South Dakota, Tulsa, Dallas, and Apalachicola. We love this car even more...it was perfect!

Nice! What was your average fuel mileage like? How long were you gone?

Thanks for the trip pics!

19 days, about 38 mpg. 80 mph is SD really killed the mileage.

We surfed the edge of Harvey in Louisiana and Mississippi all day Monday, with high wind and torrential rain. The car took it in stride.

I just got my first Honda this past week, and was hoping I would find a road trip thread! I want to visit my sister in California and I live in Mississippi. Was wondering if you hit many steep inclines and how did the fit fair?

See that second to bottom photo? A paved road changed to dirt and hair pinned up 6000 feet. We were terrified both directions...no guardrail, SUVs only...but it handled it like a champ. Also Badlands and Needles Highway with lots of hills and hairpinss. Worked brilliantly.

Grandparents live on the peak of a mountain in SC as well, so super glad to hear that! Calli will be my longest road trip. Have been on a 11-13 hr one before. Looking forward to one that i'm not driving the lifted Jeep or Lifted tacoma I used to have before this lol.

Also, I drove up the steep grade between Grapevine and Tejon Pass with cruise control on, it dropped about 5 mph but still stay with the flow of traffic.

Yes, driven the Appalachians up and down the east coast, too. And yesterday it started right up after 4 hours of direct hurricane winds.
