No matter what your towing..

Don't go over the GVW thats on the sticker in the door, thats the car+trailer+cargo

If your on the freeway, keep right and don't rip on it. Be smart.

Electric brakes can be added to most trailers fairly cheaply,
its not rocket science and if your worried about the wiring
they make wireless ones that use a battery on the trailer.
Electric brake kits run about 250 for the trailer + between
100 and 200 for a decent brake controller. (If you do the work... )

Towing with electric brakes is safer and much more relaxing
or less stressful,, glass half empty

If you'd consider putting it on a normal roof rack, putting
it on a light trailer is probably a reasonable action.

CVT transmissions don't like to be put under sudden high torque, so
drive sane, be nice to it taking off can't see any issues with towing
up to 600 lbs..
