A Discovery - After Three Years

Looking over my dashboard the other day, I noticed a little button with a crescent moon on it - on the right side of the CD slot. Most of you probably know that it dims or turns off the lighting of the radio display. It was new to me.

To the right of the slot where you insert the CD. Page 191 of my manual.

Hey, thanks for posting that.
I realized through just using it that pressing it sent you from Daylight Mode to Nighttime mode and off....But I didn't realize of you pressed it into a mode, then hit the + or -, it allowed you do adjust the brightness. Great to know.

You can load a ton of MP3s onto a CD (burn them as files, not audio) so it's almost as good as a thumb drive.

I actually knew about that button, but...I'm one of those wierdos that reads an entire user's manual from cover to cover, usually remembering most of it...usually 😁

I usually have two flash drive and a CD ready to go. XM is my first choice, but there's a defect in the radio, and it loses its antenna signal occasionally. It could cut out for minutes, hours, or days. It has a Lifetime subscription, so I can't replace it unless I want to go back to the subscription plan.
