is our fog kit glass or polycarbonate (plastic)?

hi guys, i'm curious if the 2018 GK fog lights are glass or plastic?

if it's glass, what solution to prevent rock damage? the usual film? i hated my glass fog on my civic si (FG), 9/10 owners have broken ones.

thanks!

not sure but its pretty useless.

you can get some laminex clear adhesive to protect it. i had some yellow ones on my GE a while back, looked good while on.

I'd bet they are polycarbonate. Put some Lamin-X on there it will help. I had it on my MINI & it took a squirrel nose diving into the fog light to crack the lens. The lens cracked but held together until I sourced a cheap secondhand replacement. The light not the squirrel.

I also have Lamin-x film on my GTIs fog lights. Great product.

My 2015 is glass. A rock busted one. Around $80 from Honda for a new one.

You sure it was a rock? Could have been a squirrell's nut...
