Upon further inspection, I don' think these fit my Sport model. Mine appears much smaller..��

 

How hard is it to wire to the car? Is there an easy path from the bumper into a wire harness ?

 

totally no idea. Asked a local shop to install for me. took them close to 2 hours to install both hatch lights and bumper lights.

 

if you've done any wiring work it should be a breeze. id look up from under the rear bumper to see if you can access the back of the faux vent clips. then you can figure out where you need to loom your wires to.

you should have a plug or grommet some were towards the back of the trunk (or worst case trunk floor) to route the new wires to the bumper.

 

Coming from a 2010 Yaris, that could be a tall order.

Running wires from the front to the rear hatch for a backup camera was fine until I got around the grommet to get through from the rear of the car into the bumper. Zero room to add wires and it was the most work to get it nice. I haven't removed any trim / rubber/ etc from the ft so i dunno yet, but just looking at options so far.

Also looking at the links it seems it is for the European model only, I have to track down the US fit version. The ebay auction seems to list 2014-2015 , which seems to span models, and doesn't list 2016-2017 which should be the same. Meh i can roll the dice later

 

since I can't get the bumper lights on my '18, I still really want the hatch lights. Are those the same shape from '15 to '18?

Anyone with experience wiring those yet? Curious where to run the wires...

I have a set on my 2016 EX. I'm pretty sure they are the same for 2018. I wired them my self. Pretty easy. There is a YouTube video as well but the guy in the video makes it seem harder than it really is.

 

My bumper lights arrived. anyone else install them? Looking for advice on the best place to tap into what I need and suggestions on what you used to make the connections (I never have luck with those vampire clips)

i think i need to revisit the ebay link to get the diagram on which wire is what on the lights
