Removing License Trim

Have any of you removed the "License Trim" from the rear hatch door? This is the large piece of chrome that runs right across the hatch. I have to remove it to get at the rearview camera. I got the other pieces off, but this is external, so any mistakes will show. There's a nut on either end and then those snap-in clips along its length.

The view from the camera is hazy. There's either moisture inside, or it has to be replaced for about $150.

Considering what you get with that tiny camera, the price is a bit high. On the other hand, have you checked the price of replacement key fobs for the Fit? They're over $300! Ridiculous!

Now that I ordered the new one, I will be opening up the old one. I may not be able to repair it or get it back together, but I will see what's inside it. : )
