Spoon N1 axle back from Kamispeed
Hey guys, anybody here ordered from the spoon n1 axle back from kamispeed? I ordered the exhaust on June 19, 2018 and they told me thru email on June 20 it was on backorder from Japan. I kept my order and waited but up until now not even a tracking number. Anybody here ordered the Spoon N1 from Kamispeed? I know that the Spoon N1 is highly in demand. I saw in ebay it's available from Australia at about the same price but I don't want to wait for another 2 months again. Any input would be appreciated.

I don't know how the pricing with shipping compares, but here's another vendor...
https://www.nengun.com/spoon/tail-silencer-n1-type
I ordered a steering wheel from them and they shipped same day. They list that the Spoon exhaust will take 9 days.
To me the advantage of ordering from a shop in Japan is that the part is more likely to be in stock or available quickly. Downside is shipping cost and delays.
Might be worth shooting an email to Nengun or another Spoon vendor just to see what they say about availability.

well one thing is kamispeed has been a reputable shop so im sure they are not making up stories so that is good news.
you can also check vendors in japan like japanparts.com and see if they can find it locally down there too.

After three months of waiting finally got my Spoon N1 axle back and installed it. It was worth the wait! Not so noticeable on idle but when you step on the gas pedal the sound is awesome (at least for me lol). I could also hear pops and bangs on gear shift. Enjoying it so far. It took me around 30 minutes to install. I used a ramp and my power wrench (payed for it self many times).

I would say it's loud but not loud enough to attract attention. You could hear it inside the car with the windows up at highway speed (60-70 mph) but I could live with it. We recently went on a 200 mile trip and back, my wife noticed the exhaust sound I told her I installed a new one and asked her how does she find it she said "I don't remember hearing the exhaust sound of the old one", now she does with the Spoon N1 but says it's not annoyingly loud. For me I like it, if I grew tired of it, wait for it on the for sale thread

This is a different car, but when I had a Spoon N1 axleback on my old GD3 Fit....it was super quiet. I've never heard an axleback on a Fit that is anything other than quite quiet.
Including removing the entire axleback and driving without one.

hummm.. the megan axleback i had on my GD was annoying loud (bad tone too). the only reason why had a pos muffler on da GD was because i liked the look of the tips on the thing.
i remember putting it on and just removing it only after a few months. lol

I did a video but I can't upload it. It has to do something with the kind of files. I used my phone, an S8 to shoot my video it says MP4 files. Tried to use phone app like a video converter but still useless.
