Unhappy 2018 Honda Fit EX Temperature Control Dial Issue

I think others have posted previously about this known issue, but even on my newly purchased 2018 Honda Fit EX, the temperature control dial still has the same issue. It doesn't go all the way to the end of the cold and even the heat. It recoils a little bit. @bassguitarist1985 said that it might have something to do with cable?

I would guess a cable problem.
I apologize, but to hijack for just a moment, is it a trick of the light, or is the start/stop button on the 2018's illuminated?
In your video it almost seems to be blinking.

My 2016 EX does not have an illuminated start button.

Yup, 2018/2019 EX does have an illuminated start/stop button. Still works the same, just a little more fancy...

I'll make a video for you where to look. Give me till after 10AM to show it. There is a pinch clamp that holds the cable to the damper that you simply may need to adjust, or there could be an obstruction within the damper.

Kind of surprised I've never read about that in Fit Freak.
And I'm kind of jealous, I think that looks really cool.

Also surprised I haven't read any threads about people trying to upgrade to this push button start illumination.

But never mind....

Return to Temperature Control Dial Issue....

Which I have read other threads, it unfortunately seems to be a too common occurrence.

I guess I've owned the car long enough, that I don't even look I just know where the starter button is.

Thanks @Bassguitarist1985! BTW, hats off to you... I've saw some of your DIYs for your Fit on Youtube (heated side mirrors, heated seats, led winkers, etc.) really cool stuff! I might look into doing the heated side mirrors in the future.

Well, I just noticed tonight.....mine does illuminate, just not in red, and with the ring lighting up. Which I think looks kinda cool. Just the words seem to light up.
Not a big deal but I think the "new" illumination is cooler...(for my generation that means better).
