How to reprogram key fob (no remote)

My Honda Fit 2015 key button stopped locking/unlocking the car.
(I only have the key, not a remote and button)
The red light goes on so the battery is okay. This happened to me a year ago, and somehow in a few days of non-use it fixed itself.
I read about resetting the key. Doe anyone have specific instructions how to reset this Honda Fit key? (with no remote or button).

I searched the manual for "key" and found no help. I watched this video and tried it, but it did not work:
Thanks, Etana

I can't help, but I don't understand your key. (I only have the key, not a remote and button) Does the key have buttons? Is it a key without buttons? What do you mean?

My key has buttons. I have to insert the key into the ignition. The red light is on in the key, indicating the battery is okay. The buttons will not lock the car. The unlock button seems a bit flat. (It is not damaged)

I do not have the keyless remote

I just had to change the battery in my '15 key fob (well, one of them, the spare key battery is rarely used.) If I were you, I'd replace the battery, even if you think it's still "good" … and then take it from there. Best case, you simply needed a new battery. Worst case, if a new battery doesn't solve it, you at least have a backup spare battery if the original truly is still good.

I did that last May 2019 when it happened. New battery did nothing. For some reason, after a few days, it fixed itself. I thought at the time I had pressed the button too quickly too many times and confused it. I've asked my auto repair to phone me today and see if they have ideas. The Honda dealership, last year, was not help.

So auto repair shop said remote circuit board is broken beyond repair.
I found Auto Locksmiths here who will sell me 1 new key, cut it and program it, for $150-$160.
I'm sure that is less expensive than Honda dealer.
So that's it.... Oh, car (and KEY) is less than 5 years old.
