Dealers and maintenance minder
#21
I just don't like or trust the car telling me when to do the maintenance, and secondly, I can always prepare for the cost of the next major service when I know it's going to be.
All of my previous cars have had a scheduled maintenance booklet and it just seems to make life easier for me

Since the display always indicates "oil life remaining", it should be easy, with a bit of experience, to extrapolate when the next service will come due. In my case, the MM drops about 10% per month.

You can find out what service is coming up by pressing and holding the reset button down for 10 seconds while the "oil life remaining" screen is displayed. After 10 seconds, the display will start to flash, and the next service (A/B,1,2,3,4 etc) will be displayed.
