I'm in the same boat for my 1st Gen Honda Insight. A replacement cat will cost 1/2 the price of what I paid for the entire car.... no thanks!

$10 SOLUTION = trick the o2 sensor into thinking the cat is doing its job:

I am wondering what happened to those days when they would hook up that sensor down the tailpipe and get actual smog readings while car is on the dyno. Those readings are a true way to see how well the cat is performing ... and also under load conditions. It's very likely that my cat was in decent working order (i.e. no smells from the tailpipe while driving)... I had no loss of power or anything you would get from a clogged cat. ... so if I were to be forced to get that yearly "Drive Clean" check as they require nowadays (via computer scan only) ... I would not pass ... and I would be out $$$$$ for an issue that is not really a real issue .... gosh .... I don't know what else to say.

So my options were to drive car around and rake up mileage on 91 octane hoping that CEL would not come back to haunt me .... while waiting for the day when my mandatory request for inspection would come in ... and deal with the cat later. So I did what my panicked mental state said ... get rid of car while mileage is low lolz.

My 2015 Fit just hit 97,000 miles and I have all the lights on. I was wondering if anyone has had the same misfiring issue since replacing the fuel injectors? I'm deciding if it is worth replacing or just getting rid of the car. My mechanic can do it for around $1,000, but if the problem is going to come back in a year, I would rather get a more reliable car. If I can get another 50,000 miles out of it after replacing, I'll go for it. I average about 500-700 miles a week for my job so reliability and fuel efficiency are key.

OP here: My injectors were replaced at 135000 miles. Today I am at 147000 miles and have not had any CELs or lights or misfires at all. If the diagnosis is correct for the symptoms/cause, injectors are the issue per the TSB. Hope it helps your decision.
