I recently just got the YAC phone holder for my Fit. It literally arrived today and haven't put it in my car yet. I was wondering if anyone has modded this at all to give it wireless charging. Been looking at various wireless chargers and I think with a bit of modding of a charger, you could slide it behind a phone in this holder.

My goal would be to have wireless charging with this phone holder and then get an aftermarket stereo unit to get wireless Apple CarPlay. Either that or just get one of those wireless Apple CarPlay dongles, but I don't care for the look of that.

Reading threads about stereos, if I was to swap the stereo unit out for an aftermarket one, I can no longer use the lane watch camera. Because of this, I won't be swapping my stereo out for a wireless CarPlay unit.

Does anyone have the CPLAY2air dongle that gives you wireless CarPlay? I'm curious if it needs to be plugged into the CarPlay USB port or if it'll work from the USB port in the armrest. The FAQ page doesn't specify if it requires a specific port. I rather have the dongle hidden in the armrest, rather than sitting in a cupholder under the CarPlay USB port.
