I have a 2017 LX and I'm looking to upgrade the stock head unit to something with more modern features.
It's 2024. I'm guessing that everything that could exist for these cars is out there. What is my best option?

Can I get a head unit from a newer model from a scrapyard and slot that in? The posts here seem inconclusive.
I've looked on Crutchfield and found a load of things that look like they will work with some additional adapters, but it looks like depending on the adapters and head unit some things might not be compatible. I also get a warning about "iDatalink-ready". It looks like those options are more expensive, but might work better. Does anyone have any experience?

 

Your best option is visiting your local car audio shop and let them steer you into what to buy. That is all.
