Will MP3 in CD Format Play in the Fit?

Sometimes my wife and I listen to audiobooks on standard CD while on longer trips. I see that they also sell audiobooks on CD in MP3 format, presumably for listening on home computers. I'm wondering if I can listen to them using the CD player in the 2015 Honda Fit?

For models without NAVI, yes. For models with NAVI, I don't have the manual.

Yes, you can. You can also play your MP3's from USB Media.

Absolutely! MP3s and WMAs play with no problem in the 2009-2013 GE8s, so there's no reason they won't play in yours.

Since you can burn several audio CDs worth of MP3s to a CD, playing a full MP3 CD is like having a CD changer in the car when you actually dont...

I listen to CDBooks every day while commuting and I just finished my first MP3-CD. I can't tell you how nice it was not to have to change the disc every hour.

I was able to download a free book today from LibriVox in MP3 format and it played on my EX Fit audio system. It's The Sea Wolf by Jack London and I think it runs something like eleven and a half hours. All on a single 700MB CD!

I have to admit that it took me a couple of times to get the CD recognized and play in the Fit. When I first downloaded the book on a zip file, I copied the zip file right to the CD. It didn't work.

I Googled what to do and found that you first had to "extract" the data from the zip file and then copy it to the CD. It was recognized and then worked in the Fit audio system when I did that. I found that "extract" prompt in a bar at the top of the screen where the zip file of the book was stored.

If someone can explain this more clearly, go for it.

Once again, thanks for the encouragement.
