Anyone making a radio cover?

So on my iPhone I have always had a matte finish clear sticky plastic over the face to keep things like scratches and face oils off the phone. They were always pre-cut to the phone. It would be great to have something like that for these touch screen radios. They collect dust like no other and smudges. Anyone seen such a product for radios?

I'm sure that someone will come up with one, but considering that the screen is not rubbing up against anything that can scratch it there is no real purpose to a cover.

Even on phones their usefulness is questionable. My wife and I have the same phones. Hers has always had a cover, mine has not. After four years my screen is perfect and so is hers. The difference is that hers has been "protected" by a succession of covers that reduced the clarity of the display, developed bubbles underneath, and had to be replaced when they got ratty.

I suppose that they are useful for someone who would toss their phone into their toolbox and let it rattle around with the files, but for anyone who is the least bit gentle with electronics the cover just gets in the way.

I have seen screen protectors for our radios on ebay.

Personally, I don't like plastic screen protectors for phones so I'm hesitiant to get one for the radio. But I LOVE the tempered glass screen protectors for phones and tablets that are now available. They feel great and generally very protective.

I've tried a few tablet glass screen protectors for my radio and so far none have fit like I'd like. The closest one was for an iPad mini but it was slightly too big.

The tempered glass cover for my iphone 6 broke last week. The screen underneath was perfect. Glad I had it.

Just a thought... (please keep in mind I'm not a Fit owner yet so I have not operated the radio)... But what if you got a general screen protector ( Kindle, iPad, etc) and trimmed it to size?

This may sound crazy or dumb but I actually use meguiars quick wax on my screen and piano black and it does a pretty good job concealing scratches

I used an ipad screen protector. Cut to fit. Funny thing is, that it attracts dust, and shows fingerprints when unit is off.

I used a spare Nexus 7 (2013) screen protector. It just has two holes for the camera and sensor, but it didn't cost me anything extra and works fine.
