I found two srings of 12 volt dc LEDs on Ebay for under $6.00. I used a switch mounted on the dash and a cigarette lighter plug adapter for power. The LEDs are mounted under the dash with double sided tape, Here is a picture of components costing under $10.00.

 

Sure beats the Honda ones.

I have Osium tubes in mine. I wired them to the dome light.
