Music, USB Drives, and exFAT
I have a 2015 Honda Fit EX-L. I just formatted a USB drive to exFAT (instead of FAT16 or FAT32) using Windows 8.1 and it works just fine contrary to many articles on the internet. I wanted to make this information available in case anyone was having trouble with Windows 7 or Windows 8 only formatting in exFAT. I also had no trouble transferring files to the exFAT formatted USB drive with my Mac.
My Fit also allowed files to be more than 3 deep. That is:
ARTIST > ALBUM > SONG.MP3 (ex. 3 folders deep)
-versus-
ARTIST > ALBUM > DISC 1 > SONG.MP3 (ex. 4 folders deep)
This, also contrary to what I read in articles on the internet.
I hope this is of some use to someone!
