Subwoofer system.

So I want to put an amplifier and subwoofer in my 2015 fit. I want to keep the factory radio which is touch screen. I've discussed with other people that I need a LOC (line output converter) for the rcas for the amp. Do I need anything to change the signal from the radio to make it a more clean signal because I think they have filters on the signal to keep the bass down when I turn up the volume.

No, all you need is the line out converter. The stock speakers have absolutely no bass.

Yea that's what I'm scared of. That the HU has a bass filter on it that will not send lower freq to my amplifier. If that's the case then no bass will be coming out of my subwoofer

Yes the HU has a HPF or high pass filter once the volume goes over a certain threshold. It is meant to reduce distortion. the 6.5" speakers cant handle the bass frequencies say below 100HZ as they don't have the travel and worse the wattage, being that each channel is only 28 watts RMS.

The bass cut is done in code and all the diagnostic menus do not show a way to disable it. you would need a line out converter, and a sub amp that can actively boost the bass frequencies back up to compensate. I know some amps that offer this feature.

ABSOLUTELY! Im going to build a splitter cable with the OEM connectors to splice into the OEM harness without cutting anything.

I would suggest an LC7i as you actually have 6 channels for the EX and EX-L Fit. Thats what I plan on getting. It will sum the front, and tweeter signals to a full range output for separate amplifiers. No need to sum the rear.

I'm not going to amplify the front. I just want a subwoofer and amplifier. My front stage will be the factory speakers.

You will still need an LC2i to interface the sub properly and not lose the low end bass. I may do the same

Will I have a problem with the voltage regulator of the car? I won't have any issues hooking up a system is this 2015 fit?

Depends, how big of a subwoofer you looking to install?

If you do a search on the forums you will see the Hondas have a unique device called an ELD, or electric load detector. It is post battery connection. it senses the current demand for its accessories and adjusts the alternator accordingly to maintain voltage. If you connect directly to the battery the alternator will still compensate, but not as quickly.

It's 1200 rms amplifier. Jbl 1200.1. Subwoofer is 15" in a ported box

Okay then. Then you need the big 3. Dual battery with isolator, HO alternator, and storage cap. OEM electrical is no where near able to keep up with such demand. Its way overkill in my eyes.

You should at least get LC6i. You never know when you'll wanna upgrade the mids/highs. You don't think stock speakers are gonna match/balance with a 15? Why have a 1000 watt 15" when youre running 40watts max to each driver? I never understand why some people wanna boast about their HUGE sub/power vs have the best system mids/highs matching the power that is gonna power that power (or try to anyway) 15in sub. I don't get this at all. Its like a my C$%k is bigger than yours. I wont go any further/graphic than that but I'm sure Most others that are into musical balance would agree. Its like the college band playing instruments at have volume while the bass drums are being hit almost to the point of busting them. You'll never hear what words are being sung/rap words. I never understood this. I'd share the awesome set-up being put in my car but I'm not about the "mine is better than yours" sophomoric argument. Good luck with the set-up your going for...
