Cool Enjoy a sunset and a Honda Fit

Howdy y'all! While photography has never been one of my strong suits, I figured I'd use my new Fit as an excuse to go out and get some practice! Turns out a beautiful Texas sunset and a 2016 Fit Ex in White Metallic paint is really all you need to take some gorgeous photos! I hope y'all enjoy!

P.S. If there's any photographers that read this, I would appreciate any constructive criticism or advice that y'all may have!

The first thing that catches my eye is a good amount of sensor noise. That's probably because you had to push the shadows to get a decent exposure. When shooting into the sunset like this the best thing you can do is expose for the sky. That will make your sunset look great. Then use one or two off camera flashes to light your car. That will give you a well exposed background and background, both. I use this technique all the time to shoot dancers. See here for examples.

To take it to the next level, put your camera on a tripod. This gives you even more flexibility with camera settings, as you can slow down your shutter speed beyond what might normally give you camera shake.

Just for the fun of it, here are some more albums with car pics.

I assume you used a camera phone for that picture?

That's a pretty noisy image. I'd have tried to find a spot without the fence, kept the wheel straight & parked at a different angle if you want the wheel face visible, and backed up a bit further.

I'm not very good with pictures of the sky (or pictures of anything really), but when I'm trying to show the sky I generally expose for the sky specifically, the rest of the image be damned.

When I'm shooting for the subject at sunset, I aim to underexpose the subject a little bit to not blow out the sky, then go in and tweak the subject in lightroom.

This is just for reference, it is a picture with a lot of issues, but it is something:

Yes less noise and no fence. I'm not a sunset landscape picture taking person but I have some old ones of my Civic from 2013. I have not taken anymore sunset pics after this lol.
