Anyone with some Passion Berry Pearl pics?

I've had a deposit on an Aegean Blue EX for 2+ months now, but nothing has come out of it. It's always, next week, next week, next month. Well, too much time has gone by, and the cushion I had before NEEDING a car has dissolved. I'm now down to having to choose between Passion Berry Pearl or White Orchid Pearl.

I pretty much know what a white car looks like, so... no surprises there, but does anyone have pics of their purple cars? I've wanted to steer clear of anything dark (coming from a 2010 Crystal Black Pearl Fit, and black car + camping on dirt roads + someone who hates washing her cars = No.) again, but I've been intrigued with this purple since first seeing the color cards. How are they about showing dirt?

Nothing will take the place of the blue I want so much, but maybe purple can soothe my disappointed soul? Pics?

Search the forum there are a few people who have posted PBP pics.

I am in a similar boat, had a deposit down on a Blue Ex-L for 4 weeks and the dealer still doesn't know when it will happen. But I can drive 2-3 hours and get one today if I wanted, I am very close to getting a refund on my deposit and taking a drive.

I just came across that one too - thanks, sooz! It does look quite dark in dim light, and much more purple in direct sun.

Now I'm really torn. Do I get white, which I consider to be a color that hides dirt like almost no other but is infinitely boring? Or do I get purple, which will show every little speck of dust, but is a little more spunky?

Argh. Blue would've been perfect.

I love my pbp and the black interior looks great too. I'm only bummed that paint chips show up since it seems the base coat they used is white.

I wanted a dark color thinking paint chips won't show up because my silver Versa's base was black. Bummer.

But anyway, the pbp is a very beautiful color. No regrets!

Oof, sorry to hear about the chipping. I was concerned about that too. My black 2010 ended up with chips galore on the front bumper, and I hated looking at it. Yet another thing to consider for me!

I had an old white Subaru before I bought my 2010 Fit-- I decided against white for the same reasons-- boring, but now every time I see a Fit in white, my head turns-- the fit looks great in white. The Aegean Blue also will show every spec. I think the Passionberry Pearl is the color I would get, though . Very unique!

For these Fits and a bunch of newer cars (I read the same about the new Minis and Mazda 3), it seems to cut costs they skimped on good coats of paint. So the paint chips and scuffs will be apparent and abundant. I'd recommend getting that paint protection film a couple of us here are using for any color you intend on getting.

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking about getting some of that aftermarket plastic coating on my bumper and hood when I get my windows tinted. The paint on the 2010 was really thin too, and I somehow managed to get a big ding in my hood (pinecone, maybe?) that started rusting because the paint chipped away so badly.

I, too, have had a couple head-turning experiences with the white Fits. I think they look far less boring (I was about to type "really sharp," but that might be overstating a little :P) once the windows have been tinted. I've never had a rice rocket, nor have I ever wanted one, but I do think they look kind of cute when they lean toward the rice-ier side.

My daughter has the Passion Berry Pearl, and loves it. The color changes with the time of day. In the sun, it is "sparkly", and in the shade, it grows dark.

We do live on a farm, with a gravel road, so I can tell you dust will be your enemy. With her now at school in Knoxville, it is not an issue. But, when home, one trip to the mailbox and her washing is wasted. We did purchase a "California Car Duster", so we would not need to wash the car so much. Here is the link:

Amazon.com: California Car Duster 62443 Standard Car Duster with Plastic Handle: Automotive Amazon.com: California Car Duster 62443 Standard Car Duster with Plastic Handle: Automotive

We also have the "mini-duster" for the glovebox, and use it on the Dash. Worth every penny!

Having said all this.....the white is nice as well.

Thanks for the input, all! I ended up picking up the PBP this evening, and it's now sitting out in front of my house. I didn't have a chance to take pictures because we were in a rush to get it off the lot and get home, but I'm sure other people's photos will do it more justice than mine ever could.

Now I need to start looking into all the window tinting, etc!
